Established in July 2016. MPACT  Events is an entertainment collective. Each event supports various art forms. The goal is to create a positive space for artists to showcase their work. Founded by Houston natives Brittany Batchelder & Kelli Rasmus. They incorporate their southern hospitality into each event. Since the launch in 2016, MPACT has curated over 15 events and counting.

In 2017 Richard Lawson and his wife, Tina Knowles-Lawson, opened the WACO theater center. a nonprofit theater space where art can occur. MPACT & RLS in association with Waco since created plan a: a ticketed short film quarterly series. the first Plan A was held in April of 2018. since then 3 other events were produced. with each event selling out their 100 seat theater.
